Heard so much about this place had to stop by. Went on a Saturday around 9am. Tables were full but we got seated right away. There were people waiting but waits were not long. Everyone came to do one thing EAT!
Ordered and food was fast and super fresh. We've gone to menuderios before and all they served were a couple things but waits were soo long. This spot however did not disappoint.
I had the red menudo; delicious and perfect chunks of meat.
Husband had the mixed pozole, he loved it.
We ordered the flauta sampler which was one potato, chorizo, and cheese. All were delicious. Husband ordered a side of beans which are the closest to my grandmas we've ever had.
When you sit they bring tostadas and this green avocado salsa to table. I would come again just got that salsa.
All in all great food. Fast friendly service. Will definitely be returning

Came here after my boyfriend heard they had great pozole. If you're coming in on a weekend morning get ready to wait at least 20-35 minutes. When we are seated the staff is not very attentive we didn't get any refills on our drinks and were only given three tortillas for our food.

My order: menudo; very average basic tasting, and for those that grew up having hominy (granos) in there, they do not do that here it's just plain broth and meat. The meat was okay easy to chew but again very average. I had to add a lot of various things so the broth could have more flavor.

Boyfriends order: he ordered the first pozole on the menu, the broth was very bland and needed more flavor like salt, he had to add a lot of the herbs and chili pepper they provide due to the broth tasting like nothing. The meat did not have any flavor but they do add a lot of meat.

The other menu ideas looked okay. But doubt we will be back the wait is not worth the quality of the food, don't believe any hype you here about this place

In lieu of Pozole, what this place is famous for, I opt for the Chicken Mole Enchiladas.

I am a huge fan of dark mole, and this one with its savory, nutty flavor and touch sweet was quite delicious. It also had that a great creamy quality. I appreciated the fact that they garnished the mole with finely grated Mexican cheese, a drizzle of crema, and a dusting of peanut dust.

The enchiladas themselves were good. All three came with a generous amount of shredded white chicken that was tender but a little dry. The corn tortillas the enchiladas were made with were good and had an interesting texture in that they had a bit of a chew.

The enchiladas also came topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and most importantly sliced avocado. I love avocado a top my enchiladas.

Service was efficient and friendly. They offer great mini tostadas with their salsas etc.

What can I say? This place is the s***! It is comfort food. I dance and hum while I eat their papas en crema lol The service is quick and they are very friendly. It is nice to go to a place that feels like your grandma's house. I love it. I eat here 3 times a week since I found the place.

Okay. Let's start of with BEST POZOLE IVE EVER HAD. Been to Mexico City, and it's just as good. A piece of true Mexico in San Diego. I go here at least once a week and order a small pozole. Nice portion, and even the rolled tacos are tasty. Haven't tried one thing that I didn't love. This restaurant deserves much more audience and appreciation.
